The History of
"Situated in a prominent hill on the left of the Foenna stream, above the road that leads from Asinalunga to Fojano. A 1475 agreement between the Commissioners of Florence and Siena, which was approved with Instrument of September 7, 1476 by the City of Poggiolo, determines the boundaries of these people with those of the City of Fojano. The land of Poggiolo was imposed in 1640 to an amount of 11 Lira, when there were no more than two families with 22 people"
